Members earn one-time credit for each hour they help others (individuals or organizations). Members then spend one time credit for each hour that they receive help from another person or organization. Members/organizations can also donate time credits to others.
Example timebank exchanges:
- One to One – One person gives another person a ride to the doctor.
- One to Many – A yoga teacher earns credits teaching a yoga class to four other members. An individual volunteers for activities in support of an organization’s event.
- Many to One – Four members earn credits doing a garden clean-up for a senior.
- Many-Many — A whole lot of people earn credits organizing and participating in a community pet-parade.
