Reimagining Connection Pop-up Gallery—an interactive queer and trans-led art gallery—debuts March 20th, 2026 at Long Beach Forward with a 5-9PM Opening.
Enjoy the evening with music by DJ Salaczar, delicious food, and cozy spots to sit and chat.
This gallery aims to bring together queer and trans artists to create art that reimagines and nurtures interdependency within our community, fostering care, support, and fulfillment of needs beyond the constraints of current societal structures.
As a community-driven event, it will also include initiatives led by community members, offering all attendees opportunities to learn, connect, and collaborate.

The City of Long Beach is partnering with SUAY, a closed-loop recycling operation in Los Angeles, to host a one-day drop-off event for unwanted clothing, towels, and light blankets, providing Long Beach residents with a convenient and responsible way to recycle textiles at no cost. Ripped jeans? Stained t-shirt? Join us to drop-off your unwanted textiles!
Date and Time: Saturday, January 31st, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until max capacity is reached)

Whether you’re sharing a skill, lending a helping hand, or simply being part of our network of neighbors supporting neighbors, you’ve helped make Long Beach a more caring place this year.
During this season of gathering and reflection, we hope you find moments of joy, rest, and meaningful connections with those around you.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our December gathering! We were delighted by the wonderful turnout, especially given the short notice. It was heartwarming to meet face-to-face, enjoy the delicious potluck dishes and the spirit of community that defines LBTE.
Looking ahead: We’re planning another in-person gathering after the holidays – likely in February. Stay tuned for details!
